Skin conditions that can be treated by lasers at Franklynn Centre include:
Removal of benign pigmented epidermal and dermal nevi, skin tags (acrochordons),
chondrodermatosis nodularis helices, dermatofibroma, sebaceous cysts,

hidradenoma, facial viral warts, hypertrophic
scars, rhinophyma, Morbus Favre-Racouchot, acne and other scars, epidermal nevi
(solar lentigo), seborrhoeic keratosis, actinic keratosis, lentigo senilis,
xanthelasmata, syringoma, chloasma, milia, laser resurfacing for Bowen’s
Disease, most types of tattoos (amateur, professional, traumatic, medical and
cosmetic), vascular facial telangiectasia, angiomata (including spider angioma,
cherry angioma, Campbell de Morgan spots, senile angioma), Spitz Nevus,
pyogenic granulomas (proliferative angiomas), angiofibromas, adenoma sebaceum,
adult Port Wine Stains (Class III, IV & Va), Nevus of Ota, Café-au-Lait
macules, melasma, recurrent pilonidal sinus, hirsuitism associated with
polycystic ovaries, permanent cosmetic hair reduction.
Note: Skin malignancies are not treated by cosmetic lasers at
Franklynn Centre.

Franklynn Centre is pleased to participate in their User
Group Programme and exchange information, hints and tips on applications and uses for
their lasers.
We are able to exchange information about MultiPulse CO2,
RubyStar+,
MeDioStar, ProYellow+/ YellowStar & Dermablate/ MCL29/ DermaStar Er:YAG lasers.
We also
maintain a reference library of clinical studies involving the use of these lasers.
In addition, Franklynn Centre runs a regular
dermatology clinic where patients can be referred for private treatment by a
local Consultant Dermatologist. Treatments include minor skin surgery, laser
therapy, Botox for axillary hyperhidrosis (sweating), Finasteride (Propecia)
for male pattern baldness and patch testing for hand
eczema.
